Dear Esteemed Donors,
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generous support of Hogares Teresa Toda. Thanks to your contributions, we are excited to announce that we have successfully obtained our second accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for an additional three years under the Group Home modality. This accreditation is valid until June 30, 2027.
Achieving CARF accreditation signifies our commitment to meeting international standards of quality in health and human services. CARF is a respected, independent, nonprofit accreditor that has been enhancing the lives of individuals served worldwide for over 50 years. The accreditation process involves a comprehensive review to assess whether a provider’s services align with these high standards. Successfully obtaining this accreditation reflects our dedication to delivering safe, effective services and our ongoing commitment to performance improvement.
We are proud to share some key strengths highlighted by the CARF surveyor:
1. Financial Stewardship: Our organization demonstrates responsible management of its finances, ensuring stability for both participants and staff. Our positive financial standing allows us to innovate and enhance service provision. The finance department consistently reviews expenses and revenues, establishing a solid foundation for future programs.
2. Welcoming Environment: Our group homes are designed to be warm, inviting, spacious, and clean. Participants enjoy ample opportunities for recreation, free time, and privacy. Staff members ensure that all rooms are thoughtfully prepared and equipped with necessary supplies to meet the needs of everyone.
3. Participant Satisfaction: Many of our participants expressed satisfaction with the services provided and the respect shown to them by our personnel. Their appreciation for the care received is evident, with several eager to share their success stories to promote the organization.
4. Support for a Vulnerable Population: We provide essential services to a challenging population that has experienced trauma and often has limited access to extended treatment resources. Our relationship-driven approach fosters trust and encourages participants to engage in services that enhance their emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.
5. Dedicated Staff: Our staff members bring a wealth of knowledge and personal experiences to their roles, fostering teamwork, mutual respect, and open communication. Their unwavering commitment to improving the quality of life for each participant is commendable.
In addition to these achievements, we are pleased to report that the girls have returned to school, and our tutoring program has commenced. Over the summer, they participated in recreational activities, summer camps, and approved visits with their family members, enriching their experiences and promoting their well-being.
Thank you once again for your invaluable support. Together, we are making a significant impact on the lives of those we serve.
Warm regards,
Hogares Teresa Toda
