Over the past quarter CHoiCe Trust has continued to provide critical support to vulnerable families in rural Limpopo through our Orphaned and Vulnerable Children (OVC) programme. With the help of GlobalGiving and our supporters, we were able to provide emergency food support to families facing acute hardship, including those affected by recent flooding in our Province.
Through the broader OVC programme, our team reached 3,125 households, providing psychosocial support, adherence counselling and case management for 3,281 children and adolescents living with HIV (CALHIV). We also supported 87 HIV-exposed infants and 415 caregivers living with HIV, helping families strengthen their health and resilience.
GlobalGiving donations contributed directly to food relief for the most vulnerable households, including the distribution of food parcels and bags of instant meals to families struggling to meet their basic needs. For households already coping with HIV, poverty and disrupted livelihoods after flooding, this support helped ensure children and caregivers were able to meet their basic nutritional needs.
While these numbers tell part of the story, the real impact is felt in the stability it brings to families who are doing everything they can to care for their children under challenging circumstances.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us. Every contribution helps ensure that vulnerable children and their caregivers are not left behind.
