Over the past quarter CHoiCe has continued to provide essential support to the households of children and adolescents living with HIV. Despite the challenging funding environment, our team has remained committed to ensuring that vulnerable families continue to receive the care and support they need to help children remain healthy and engaged in care.
Recognising that long-term wellbeing depends not only on helath services but on household stability, our focus has included strengthening financial resilience of the families we support. During July we will be implementing a training with 100 households that focuses on financial literacy and the establishment of 5 Savings Groups. These will help them to save regularly, access small loans, support each other and have the financial means to invest in income-generating opportunities.
The Savings Groups, which will bring together caregivers of children living with HIV along with other community members in their villages, will ensure that families are better able to cope with unexpected financial shocks, reduce financial stress and create a more stable environment in which children can thrive.
Over the last quarter we have not actively focused on fundraising through the GlobalGiving platform due to human resource constraints as our team has focused on programme implementation and support to beneficiaries. We remain fully committed, however, to increasing our efforts to promote this campaign moving forward.
To our existing supporters - thank you for believing in our work and standing alongside the children and families we serve! If you are able, one of the greatest way you can help is by sharing our GlobalGiving project with your friends, family, colleagues and networks. Every donation and every person who learns about our work moves us closer to ensuring that every child living with HIV has the opportunity to grow up supported and full of hope.
Thank you for continuing this journey with us.
