This project aims to reach the youth, young adults,and community with HIV/AIDS information,create awareness and enable them to know their status as an effective method of prevention in Kenya
HIV/AIDS, poverty and other related ills continue to have a devastating impact on most communities in Kenya. the worst hit is the rural areas with minimal information flows and few modern health care systems. kisumu east district where the Angira youth for change is located is one of the district with the highest HIV infection rates in Kenya. the impact of HIV/AIDS can be figuratively captured in the statement"if there are no children there will be no parents tomorrow."
AYFC will conduct 10 community outreach meetings and follow up to raise awareness and increase knowledge on HIV/AIDS to 2000 adults by the end of the project
During the 12 month project period,AYFC will reach total of 300 youth in and out of school and youth adults age between 16 to 36 years(male and female)and a total of 600 adults in the community(male and female) the target population is most infected
