The Action for Child Development Trust (ACDT) is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty through targeted educational interventions. By providing scholarships to high-potential students in high schools and tertiary institutions, we ensure that financial constraints do not silence the ambitions of our youth. While our current footprint is impactful, the overwhelming demand—with over 200 applicants currently seeking aid—highlights a critical need for expanded donor support.
Our Goal and Objective
The primary goal of the ACDT Scholarship Program is to empower vulnerable youth with the academic and technical skills necessary for economic independence.
Our specific objectives include:
Ensuring Transition: Facilitating the move from primary to secondary school and into professional career paths.
Diverse Skill Acquisition: Supporting a wide array of disciplines—from medicine to vocational arts—to meet local labor market demands.
Community Resilience: Reducing dependency by equipping students with the tools to become breadwinners and community leaders.
Current Impact: A Portfolio of Success
To date, ACDT has successfully seen 19 students through their educational journeys. Our scholarship distribution is intentionally diverse, ensuring that we are building a multi-faceted workforce.
