Dear Friends and Supporters,
Last month, our Women's Leadership graduate Hnin left Yangon for a position as a senior assistant teacher in rural Magway. An educator by training, Hnin is motivated to work with children because she believes that building a more peaceful society in Myanmar begins in the classroom.
"I strongly believe that only education can build the better future of not only individuals but also my whole country," Hnin says. "I want to be a teacher who presents the values of multicultural heritages and the real historical facts. I want to go to my students and let them know the beauty of the diversity."
We are excited to see Hnin pursue her passion for teaching and congratulate her on her new job -- and we look forward to the positive impact she will have on her students and her new community in Magway.
Thank you for supporting Hnin and other young women in Myanmar in their efforts to build stronger, more just communities!
With gratitude,
Carolyn
