Belated Happy New Year 2014 to all our donors and supporters. Thank you all for the support and contributions made in the year 2013. Wish this New Year makes us capable of helping all the people who are distressed and in need of help and support.
“Lots of businessman visits our village every year to collect “Kurilo” (Local name of Aspiragus). I always wondered how those businessmen benefit from collecting grasses from our village as we used to feed it to our cattle’s. From this 2 day training program, I realized the use and benefits of Kurilo in our day to day life” – Anup Rana, Student of grade 5, Shree Tribhuvan Primary School, Bahun Bhyanjyang, Bandipur-7, Tanahun District.
Above is a feedback that we had received from a student after organizing 2 days Herbal Garden training program in December in a school, located at hilly region of Tanahun District. A total of 30 participants including students, teachers and local youths were trained towards developing herbal garden in school through organizing a demonstration plot in the school. During the program, participants were made aware on the need and importance of Herbal Plants, Herbal Garden and how to maintain herbal garden through practical hands-on activities. Preparation of herbarium and seasonal calendar was also shared with the participants so that they could also learn about the documentation of herbs and their harvest seasons.
