Her Education, Her Future supports vulnerable girls in South Sudan to stay in school, learn safely & build brighter futures. Poverty, displacement, early marriage, and lack of learning materials force many girls to drop out. FAA provides educational materials and targeted support, strengthening girls' confidence, leadership & life skills. By engaging parents, teachers & communities, the project promotes safer, inclusive schools and helps girls gain the education and skills to shape their future

Challenge

Girls in South Sudan face major barriers to education. Poverty, displacement, insecurity, early marriage, household responsibilities, lack of school supplies and menstrual hygiene products cause many girls to miss school/drop out. These challenges limit their learning, confidence and future opportunities, keeping many girls trapped in poverty and vulnerability. Without targeted support, girls are less likely to complete primary school, pursue further education or achieve economic independence.

Solution

FAA will help vulnerable girls stay in school by providing learning materials, school supplies and menstrual hygiene support. The project will provide remedial learning, life-skills, leadership and mentorship activities to strengthen girls' confidence and learning. FAA will also engage parents, teachers and community leaders to prevent dropout, early marriage and discrimination, while promoting safer, inclusive and supportive schools where girls can learn, thrive and achieve their potential.

Long-Term Impact

The project will help 100 girls complete their education, develop confidence and life skills, and access future employment and livelihood opportunities. Educated girls are better positioned to make informed decisions, resist harmful practices and contribute to their families and communities. Stronger parent, teacher and community support will help sustain girls' education and create safer, more inclusive learning environments beyond the project period.
