Helping Scavengers Children & Mum in Bali

2025 has been another meaningful and impactful year for the BaliLife Foundation. Throughout the year, our students continued to grow academically and creatively, showing confidence and enthusiasm in their learning. At the same time, the mothers involved in our programs made significant progress in developing practical skills and strengthening their small businesses. This growth would not have been possible without their commitment and the faithful support of our partners and donors. We are deeply grateful for your role in helping us build brighter and more hopeful futures.

The Women’s Workshop program continued to grow in 2025, with increased participation and strong engagement. We are proud to celebrate women who completed the program and gained valuable skills that support financial independence. Through sewing classes, many mothers are now able to earn income from home, positively impacting their families and daily lives. In addition, we consistently provided weekly English classes for all mothers, equipping them with essential communication skills and opening doors to broader employment opportunities. These achievements reflect the power of collaboration and our shared vision of empowerment and transformation.

On average, 60 until 70  children attend our programs each week. Supported by three dedicated staff members, we continue to reach families, bring children to our Centre, provide quality education, and empower mothers within the community. In addition, we were also able to continue our food distribution program, providing essential food support to families in Suwung, helping meet their basic needs and offering hope during challenging times.

As we look ahead, we remain hopeful and committed to creating a better future for Bali and Indonesia.

This year, 2025, has been a year of growth and renewed hope at the Suwung Community Center. Every week, we see how education and care can make a real difference in the lives of children and mothers from the scavenger community. Their commitment to learning, even in the face of daily challenges, continues to inspire us all.

Our mission has always been to create opportunities for families to break the cycle of poverty through education and empowerment. The children are making great progress in school, becoming more confident and motivated to dream about their future. The mothers, too, are learning valuable skills and building stronger foundations for their families. Together, they remind us that change begins when someone believes in you and your support makes that belief possible.

Currently, our center welcomes an average of 55- 60 children every week, supported by 3 dedicated staff members who work tirelessly to teach, mentor, and guide both children and mothers. Through these programs, we aim to nurture not only education but also dignity, purpose, and hope within the community.

As we look ahead, we are filled with gratitude and excitement for what’s to come. With your continued support, we believe we can keep empowering families, transforming lives, and building a brighter future for Bali and Indonesia.
