At Public Lands Alliance, our mission is to strengthen the partnerships that protect, sustain, and celebrate America's public lands. Thanks to the generous support of donors like you, we are doing exactly that — convening the full breadth of the public lands community, fueling collaboration, and inspiring the next generation of stewards.
We recently wrapped our Annual Convention in Daytona Beach, Florida — our flagship event and an important gathering of the public lands community that takes place each year. This four-day event brought together hundreds of participants from across the spectrum of public lands work, including:
The convention featured two days of programming, including educational sessions and workshops, a tradeshow showcasing the latest in public lands products and services.
This year marked a historic milestone: for the first time ever, we opened our Public Lands Film Festival to the general public. More than 300 attendees had the opportunity to be immersed in powerful stories that are only possible because of America's public lands. The Film Festival is more than a screening — it is a celebration of the landscapes, wildlife, communities, and values that make public lands so vital to our national identity. By opening our doors to the broader public, we extended the reach of our mission and connected hundreds of new people to the story of public lands stewardship.
Why This Work Matters
Public lands belong to all Americans — but protecting them requires a coordinated, well-resourced community. Public Lands Alliance serves as the connective tissue that holds this community together. When we convene government agencies alongside nonprofits, corporations, and advocates, we create the shared understanding and partnerships that translate into real-world conservation outcomes for these treasured places.
