Help women increase their income with beekeeping

An additional 20 women received Beehives

Thanks to your donation and other donors we have been able to equip 20 women with beehives and associated equipment.

The women are from 3 villages Fon, Sipigui and Sissa in Burkina Faso. A tarining of 2 days was held in each village.

Theoretical training (one day):

What is a bee
What is a swarm
The beekeeping calendar in Burkina
Live inside a hive
Harvesting technic

Practical training (one day):

Smoking of the beehive to attract swarm
Preparing the bars with melted wax
Usage of protecting suit and the smoker for harvest
Positioning of the beehive
Maintenance of the beehive
Control of the hives during the year

Expected results in the future:

Additional revenue of around 55 US$ per year per women with a minimum of work (April 2021)
Better pollination o the fruit trees in the villages
