Tackling Senior Loneliness During the Holidays

Dear Border Partners' Donors & Supporters,

First of all, a belated Happy Holidays from our team - we hope you have had a great start in this new year! To our donors both new and old, we are grateful to have your support going into 2026 for our Golden Years Project, serving vulnerable seniors in northern Mexico.

For this report, we wanted to highlight our 2025 holiday celebrations, aimed at combating loneliness among older adults in the community of Puerto Palomas de Villa, Chihuahua, Mexico, who do not always have family or support networks to spend time with during the festive months of the year. That's why, for our December Senior Social Club, we hosted a community "Posada" (Christmas Party) complete with a gift exchange, games, a warm meal, and plenty of time to socialize.

Going in to 2026, your support enables us to continue showing up for the most vulnerable in our community - all year-round. Recognizing that the holidays can be a lonely time for some older adults we serve, it was important for us to come together, laugh, eat, play and show our appreciation for this wonderful group.

We could not do it without all of you who have so generously given over the past year and into the new one. Thank you for your continued interest in Border Partners' programs and projects: as always, if you want more regular updates or want to learn more about these, feel free to visit us at our website and sign up for our mailing list anytime.

Happy New Year from all of us at Border Partners!
