Border Partners continues to hold monthly meetings of our "Senior Social Club," which has seen another bout of birthday celebrations! We are fortunate to create a space to mark another year for some of our seniors who live alone or away from family, and see their friends at Border Partners as a something of a home away from home.
For the June edition of social club, we held a birthday bingo game for Conchita and Aurelia, and provided a delicious lunch of homemade pozole, hibiscus water, and apples. Of course, there was also cake, singing, and general good cheer. Our staff do their utmost to uplift and support seniors, and provide them with dignified means to live their later years independently - but still connected to a sense of community and with access to the resources they need. We appreciate your support in helping us aid this oft-forgotten population, and send thanks from Conchita and Aurelia for this month's cake!
