Help 250+ Vulnerable Elderly in Moldova

On behalf of Neoumanist Association we would like to thank you for the support and help you offered to our social project.

This report will be present under un International  Family Day that was celebrated in May at 15.

The center is like a house where  elderly come and enjoy the ageing. It is very difficult to stay alone without any communication and to face the problem. Neoumanist family is a place where elderly find friends, can share their experience and benefit from all the services. On 15 of May we organized a special party and brought joy and happiness.

During this period the students from the Faculty of Sociology and Social Assistance of the State University of Moldova visited the projects and had the possibility to do their internship in our organization.

It is a great opportunity for the elderly to come with their experience to the young generation.  A round table was organized at the University where were invited some elderly.  

Recently the project was visited by two para lawyers that explained the elderly what are they doing and how can they help our beneficiaries. A very interesting discussion and seniors had a lot of questions.

 By supporting our project you the person who offer the elderly the change to live with dignity and feel the live.  Only together we can help.

On behalf of Neoumanist Association we would like to thank you for the support and help you offered to our social project.

Due to you support it is possible that the center provides qualitative services to its beneficiaries.

During the last three month there center was visited 4165 times, were prepared  4449  lunches, 891 showers and 2715 kg of laundry were washed. 

We used to celebrate International days. Today is International Women Day and we would like to congratulate all ladies  on this day. Yesterday we had a special party for our grannies. We invited a group of children that sang and danced and brought joy and happiness.

In Moldova at the beginning of the spring is celebrated  Martisor.  The name Martisor is a diminutive of March It is believed that the person who wears the red and white string would enjoy a prosperous and healthy year. Our beneficiaries worked hard and did a lot of Martisors. In this report we add iMartisor made by our grannies.

Soon in April we will start a new project called Adoption Program, because of the current financial situation we will be force to close Rasarit at the end of 2017. After 14 years of successful service. This cannot happen!

In case Sunrise have to close this means: no 15,000 meals, no 4,000 bathhouse visit, no 2000 washes, no care

no attention, no social contact, for the 250 elderly people who use Sunrise. They will fall back into their social isolation and poverty....

We intend to organize a fundraising campaign to collect money for supporting all the activities of Day Care Center for 2018.

The elderly can come to the center, have warm meals, shower and laundry services, socialization activities for the whole year, 3 times a week only  for 25 euro or 26.50 $ per month.

On sixth of march the project was visited by  Skye Keene-Babcock in the field traveler of GlobalGiving platform. It was a good and nice  experience.  

 We really hope we will have a nice collaboration in future!
