After the recent 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti's southern peninsula, many homes and buildings were brought down. Unfortunately, Poured Out's very own Venel Dona was affected by the earthquake - his home was severely damaged and is currently uninhabitable. Now, Venel is working on getting his foundation ready for rebuilding and we need your help in funding the reconstruction of his walls and roof so he and his family have a home to live in. He lives with his fiance, son, and newborn baby.
Venel's home has large cracks separating the walls from the house's foundation, creating an unstable roof. The earthquake that hit Haiti in August 2021 cracked the ground near his home rendering his house uninhabitable.
This rebuilding fund will provide materials and manpower to rebuild the walls and roof of Venel's home so that he and his family have a place to live safely.
Venel is a critical member of our Poured Out team and has served his community faithfully for over 5 years with Poured Out. By having a safe place to live, Venel can continue his work in the community to provide clean water for families while maintaining all of our water systems. Venel is crucial in installing new Bio-sand water filters, following up on existing filters, and connecting Poured Out to new communities in need of clean and safe drinking water. Join us in supporting our brother!
