In 2018 we rescued over 800 street dogs from a desperate situation. Most of them are still in our large refuges. We have no government funding, relying on donations and grants to care for the animal care. This year the summer in Morocco was long and dry and our refuges have no access to mains water. With the drought we struggled to deliver enough water to keep the dogs hydrated. We did not have enough to wash the dogs and disinfect the ground.... and now we have a plague of ticks and fleas.
This summer was difficult, the temperatures were particularly high. There is no running water in our New and Clebs refuges. We had just enough water for the dogs to drink but not enough water to wash the dogs and to deworm the ground. We need your help. We need Nexguard. Some of our dogs have developed allergies and skin diseases due to flea bites. Ticks have also appeared and weakened our older dogs. Please donate so we can buy tick and flea treatments and make sure water is delivered.
Giving each dog the required dose of nexguard will protect them from fleas and ticks for 6 months. Ticks carry blood borne diseases so treating the dogs means they will be healthier and live longer and better lives. As we take in abandoned or injured dogs it is essential that we can treat them from ticks and fleas. Having a supply of the required medication means we can eliminate the risks of ticks and fleas spreading again.
We aim to find adoptive homes for all our dogs, however we accept that this may not be possible. For the dogs that stay we us, we aim to keep them healthy and happy.
