We have over 1100 street dogs at our animal refuge, rescued from certain death on the street or in the city dog pound. We receive no government funding but are determined to work positively for a better life for all animals. We desperately need donations to pay for food and medical care bills, especially to make sure all the dogs are neutered and vaccinated against rabies. Our larger, remote refuge needs donations to maintain the refuges and pay for water as well as to pay staff wages .
SARA has around 1500 animals to feed in their refuge, but also do what they can to help dogs on the street. Since March 2020, SARA has been sending dog food to help feed the street dogs in Taghazout and Agadir and in the local dog pound. It is costing us an extra 300 each month. Rescuing from the streets or taking a dog out of the pound means we must carry out immediate sterilization, vaccination, deworming and microchipping of the dog. This costs around 100 per dog
With 1100 street dogs and 300+ cats we are monthly in a desperate situation. Please help us raise essential funds to keep our two shelters stocked with food, water and cleaning equipment and to pay the staff needed to care for all the animals. We need to raise essential funds for vital vet appointments, surgery and medication: transport animals to vets and take them to airports: Provide tick and flea and medical treatment to 1100 dogs
We are the largest animal welfare organization in the Agadir area. Without our help these animals would suffer from illness, accident and abuse on the streets. We are also working to implement TNVR in partnership with the government to control the street dog population and eradicate Rabies. We are a non profit and rely almost entirely on donations to ensure these animals receive all the right care and have a safe and lovely home for the future.
