Our New Documentary and Double Up on Hope

By Mette Thomsen | Project Leader

The One with Hope
The One with Hope

Dear donor,

It's been 4 months since we rescued baby Hope. We found her in the bush, accused of being a witch. Maybe it’s destiny or coincidence, but as you know, we already have one Hope with us. He is now a big boy who loves taking care of little Hope. She's growing strong and healthy every day. How heartwarming is the picture of them together?

School Uniforms Needed
Our children will still be in school until August. Victoria, Joy, and Evelyn attend Girls High School, where uniforms are required but expensive. One complete uniform set costs $10, and with 93 children, your support keeps them dressed for success.

True Kitchen Heroes
The kitchen is the heart of Land of Hope. Matilda, Joyce, Iniobong, Hannah, Mfon, and Ekuyik work hard to cook nutritious meals for 100 kids three times a day! Only true kitchen heroes could pull that off. However, our pots and pans wear out quickly, and inflation in Nigeria is making things difficult. Every donation amount helps us immensely:

  • $5 buys new knives
  • $10 buys new pots and pans
  • $15 buys firewood
  • $20 buys cooking gas

You Can Now Watch Our Documentary
Our new documentary, "The One with Hope," is now on HBO Max! Filmed by David and Anja with Warner Bros., it follows Anja's life in Nigeria. It portrays the fight she and David have fought since 2013 for children accused of being witches, often facing tragic endings without any help from world leaders or the media, who have turned a blind eye for far too many years. Make sure to watch it if HBO Max is available in your country. It won silver for "Best Human Rights Documentary" at the World Media Festival in Hamburg. We can't wait to show the world our mission and give our children a voice.

Thank you for your continued support. Together, we are making a difference.
