Dear donor

If you've followed us for a while, you know that we work tirelessly at Land of Hope to promote education. It's our greatest weapon for fighting poverty and superstition. Much of the children's education takes place in our vocational and entrepreneurial building. This is where art class teacher Joeberry recently had 20 of our children in class for the Valentine's art auction. They created such beautiful pieces! The children decide themselves which entrepreneurial classes they want to attend, whether it's sewing, designing clothes, handcrafting, or learning about agriculture  – and some just want to play football :) The important thing is that they find what they're passionate about and learn how to be innovative and solve problems.

We need books
Our vocational and entrepreneurial building also contains our library where the children do homework, study, and read books. With 74 children, we find ourselves in need of more books (history, biology, science, math, literature, novels and much more).

If you want to support Land of Hope with books, we could surely use a donation. Sending books to Land of Hope can be very expensive. Therefore, it's better for us to receive donations and buy books in Nigeria where we can also support the local book shops and the community in general.

Christmas Beach Party
This Christmas, we decided to celebrate at the beach. Saviour, who we rescued in December, had never seen the ocean before. It took a lot of courage for him to approach the water but he took Anja's hand and smiled as the water touched his feet. His transformation has been incredible. He came to Land of Hope after living hell on earth under inhuman, horrible conditions.

It's also been 4 years since we rescued Hope, can you believe it? All odds were against him but he survived and is now a strong, intelligent, and funny boy.

We're all forever grateful for your help.
