Our Mission Programs:
Protection Programs
Residential Care Program
- 148 children and adolescents are cared for in 6 homes located in Bogotá D.C., Colombia (Santa María del Lago neighborhood)
- In these facilities the beneficiaries receive all the necessary food, lodging and support from an interdisciplinary team, which is made up of a Home Coordinator, who is the Mother of the house, caregivers, psychologists, social workers, pedagogues, nutritionists and other professionals.
- As soon as children arrive at our Foundation, we begin working with their biological family to improve their parenting skills and enable them to regain care of their children and facilitate family reunification.
Foster Care Program
- It currently serves 50 girls, boys and adolescents between 2 days old and 18 years old, seeking to transform the impact of situations that have caused their family separation.
- With the support of 19 volunteer substitute families, we offer a personalized space where actions are carried out to restore their rights and provide them with loving care, support and accompaniment.
Prevention Programs
Support to family reunification
- Provides comprehensive support to the family reunification process, when children or adolescents leave the residential care institution after having been separated temporarily from their family in a process of restitution of rights, so that the transition to their new life is carried out in the most appropriate way.
- When the conditions for family reintegration are fulfilled, after having been in the residential or family foster care program, work begins with the entire family ecosystem to facilitate reintegration and support them in times of crisis.
- This program also provides support to young people who reach the age of majority, accompanying the change to adult life and guiding the actions that allow them to carry out their life project
Family and Community Strengthening
- The program has two venues in Bogotá (Bosa-Pablo VI and Diana Turbay), where activities are offered for academic reinforcement and occupation of free time after school.
- It seeks to prevent school dropouts and generate a protective space that keeps beneficiaries away from street risks such as substance abuse, family violence, gangs, among others.
- We also work directly with their families to strengthen their parenting skills and in occupational and entrepreneurship workshops.
- For the sustainability of this program it is essential to have the support of allies who contribute with their periodic contributions.
