Today, only in our organization there are 215 children with autism in Bishkek alone, 162 of which are in the queue for services. Parents are forced to keep children at home, which leads to even greater social exclusion and underdevelopment. We have repeatedly appealed to various government agencies to no avail. So, we decided to appeal to donors, start fundraising, buy land and begin construction of building for own Autism Center where chidlren can receive therapy and specialists get training.
If we complete purchase of land plot, there is a $123K commitment from our major donor ICCO Cooperation to finance construction of 500 s.m. Autism Center. This in turn, will allows us to open diagnostic services, provide musical, art therapy sessions in addition to ABA therapy, conduct trainings and seminars for parents and professionals, provide psychological support to families with initial diagnosis of autism. In the future land's size allows further construction of studios, sport facilities.
With your help newly built Autism Center will allow us annually test at least 200 children, write personal development programs of at least 120 children with a confirmed diagnosis of autism, train at least 100 professionals, educate 200 parents and other family members, provide intensive ABA therapy for 80 children with ASD, provide with successful concept that will be replicated on a state level, and implemented in other day care centers across the country where children with autism are present
