Dear Supporter,
We want to be honest with you.
Right now, we don’t have a new update from the ground to share about this campaign. Not because the need has changed, and not because our teams are not ready, but because we simply have not received enough donations to move the project forward.
This campaign was created to build 10 new classrooms in the IDP camps of Afrin, support teacher salaries, and provide children with the learning materials they need. Everything is ready to begin again as soon as funding allows. But until then, construction remains paused, and those classroom doors remain closed.
That is painful to say, because the children are still waiting.
In Northwest Syria, more than 40% of school-aged children are still out of school. Every day without a safe place to learn leaves them more vulnerable to child labor, exploitation, and a future shaped by hardship instead of opportunity.
But your support can help change that.
A donation today can help restart this project and bring us closer to opening safe, lasting classrooms where Syrian children can learn, heal, and begin to dream again. These classrooms are more than buildings. They are places of protection, hope, and possibility.
Please consider giving today. Your generosity can help us move forward and give children in Afrin the education they deserve.
With hope and gratitude,
The Smile Givers International Team
