Thank you, dear loyal friends, for your generous support of our Help UPO Help the DC Homeless to date.
We have a great opportunity to double your donations to Help UPO Help the DC Homeless and help us in our ongoing fight against Poverty as the Community Action Agency of Washington DC for the past 55 years!
Help UPO Help the DC Homeless will earn a 100% match from GlobalGiving for all new monthly donations of up to $200 started during the MOTHERS DAY CAMPAIGN MAY 1 -13, after four monthly installments have been paid.
While many of us have protection from the elements, from icy conditions to searing heat in the summer, the homeless do not. UPO helps the DC homeless in several ways throughout the year. With a rise in DC homeless, the UPO Shelter Hotline vans transported 155,476 people to shelter last year. Help us raise money for comfort items for the homeless people we assist, from feminine items to care packages, water, food trays and protective clothing.
Mother’s Day is just around the corner on Sunday, May 13th, so it’s time to celebrate motherhood and recognize all mother figures including those unfortunate Homeless Mothers in Washington DC.
