Underserved Colombian neighborhoods are FULL of TALENTED PEOPLE capable of TRANSFORMING their lives and communities. BUT they lack the TOOLS to exploit this potential and few believe in them enough to give them the OPPORTUNITY to do it. WE DO... AND SO CAN YOU! Our simple training model in social entrepreneurship EMPOWERS trainees to USE THEIR SKILLS and PASSIONS to SOLVE PROBLEMS within their communities, while earning a living and employing others! Help 50 change-makers follow their dreams!
50% of Colombians dream of starting their own business. But few can even try! After 50 years of civil war, Colombia is one of the world's most unequal countries (1 in 4 citizens live in poverty). Many have fled the war-torn countryside to end up in urban slums, which offer few opportunities for a better life. The talents and passions of these 13 million Colombians could help them generate income, provide services and jobs, and become impactful change-makers in their communities. Let's help them!
Todos Podemos' training model helps people transform their dreams into easily implementable business models. We select highly motivated individuals in the most vulnerable communities, and guide them step-by-step in the construction of their plan, while teaching them the soft skills they will need to implement it and be successful. We designed our 10-step methodology to serve the specific needs of those who have had limited access to formal education, using simple language and hands-on activities
Since creating this program, over 80% of the entrepreneurs that we have trained have been able to start selling products and services, which generate positive social and/or environmental impact within their communities. With this project, 50 more entrepreneurs will be able to ensure an income for their families, provide goods & services that are missing in their communities, create jobs, protect the environment and serve as role models for others. Over 2000 people will benefit from this project!
