Hello lovelies,
We would like to take a moment to let you know how much we appreciate your kindness and support. August 23rd of this year, GG disbursed $226.90 for the project #44848 and support us to get closer to our goal to provide nutritious meals to 25 family a year. You are doing more than just filling people stomach. You are showing that there is good left in people, and that gives hope.
Our microgrant initiative is providing flexible support for families like Victor a tour guide from Anja community reserve. The microgrant can be used to pay for whatever expenses that are most urgent – like paying for utilities, keeping food on the table, catching up on overdue bills, or simply launching a new project like "farming". Eligible hospitality and tourism community and residents in all regions of Madagascar can apply for a range of MGA 50,000 - MGA 100,000 to cover necessary expenses or gaps in income resulting from the economic repercussions of COVID-19. In its global spread the pandemic has brought tragic loss of life and livelihood and has disrupted the functioning of many social life.
The Anja Community Reserve is a woodland area and freshwater lake. Home to ring-tailed lemurs, brookesia, chameleons, and various caves. Located about 42 miles SouthWest of Fianarantsoa along National Road No.7, this incredible community strives to protect its habitat.
Together we are committed to ensuring that our most vulnerable communities have the support they need to weather the short- and long-term impacts of the coronavirus outbreak. When faced with a gap in income, families already structurally underemployed face impossible choices between keeping up with essential utilities and keeping food on the table.
We simply could not do this without YOU: donors, volunteers, GG amazing staff and partners. Thank you for constantly inspiring us to make the world a better place. We are grateful “happy” to have you on board! We are grateful “happy” to have you on board! Misaotra betsaka! Merci beaucoup!
With appreciation,
Halt Poverty Team
