Since last update, our school bus and truck have received their regular check-up and small fixes.
Actually, our school bus is modified from a regular pick-up truck to a school bus, thus it keeps requiring regular monitoring to maintain its status. Mr. Mun, our volunteering bus driver said “My duty is not only to drive our children to the school safely, but also to keep our bus and truck secure and operable. Because the bus is getting older, there is a greater risk of a breakdown.” Thanks to his great efforts, our students, who live far away from DEPDC's Half Day School, are able to attend school and get education safely and on time.
During the regular check-ups, the big school bus is inspected if all lights and reflectors exhibiting such problems as inconsistent flashing, cracks, or other damages. If necessary it will be replaced with the always present back-up lights. Naturally both vehicles tires are checked to see if they are properly inflated, flat, excessively worn or damaged. Also, they checked the oil of cars and change/fill it where necessary.
Both the bus and truck are up to the current standard and safely transport our students to and from school every day. However, it is not possible without your generous support and donation. Thanks to all our current, future, and past donors, we are able to offer free transportation service to our children.
