The first term is already almost over here at DEPDC and throughout the term the students have been using both DEPDC’s bus and truck to get to and from school. During the past three months we have had a few unexpected repairs needed as well as some routine maintenance to both our school’s bus and truck.
The Half Day School’s truck got a routine oil change as well as a few necessary repairs. Both the passenger-side door and the tailgate door had to be fixed. The entire undercarriage also needed to be redone and fixed up so our students could ride safely to school.
As for DEPDC’s bus, only two things had to be fixed. The bus received a full redone suspension system and a brand new battery. Before the bus was not starting properly and causing us issues to transport the children to and from school. The bus also got a routine oil change.
Both the bus and truck are now working again and safely transporting our students to and from school every day. DEPDC's students, staff, and volunteers would like to thank all our current, future, and past donors for their generous support without which we would not be able to do our work in preventing at-risk children from human-trafficking through education. Many thanks to all!
