Dear Friends!
We sincerely thank you for your support of our project on the Global Giving! For the past 2 years, we have been improving the lives of children with severe mental and physical development together!
Once again, we have gone to Elatma Orphanage (Ryazan region) with the orthopedist for the routine examination of children who participate in theVerticalization project. As usual, some of the children s greeted us joyfully, some were wary – some children were still afraid of doctors even though they have known them for a long time.
There are 14 children in the project; we examined all of them. Most of them show positive dynamics of development - they grow, gain weight, increase stamina, move more confidently and develop intellectually.
Orthopedic devices have become too tight for some children. So Dasha grew and Andrew was operated on his leg, that’s why old orthotics do not fit them now – soon they will get new ones. We took Elya’s and Nastya’s devices back to Moscow to increase their size. We managed to pick up orthopedic devices previously made for some children as they are sizable. We picked up more comfortable shoes for others.
We examined 3 new children who have recently moved into this orphanage. All the children are good candidates and the doctors offered to bring them to Federal Bureau of Medical and Social Expertise in Moscow (FBMSE). They will be worked over in FBMSE, doctors will order treatments and determine the future strategy of working with them.
We thank you for your support of these children - without you, their progressing development would not be possible! Help them to develop further by making regular donations and telling your friends about us!
