Help These Girls Have Better Living Conditions

70TH ANNIVERSARY OF OUR INSTITUTION

We are very proud to be able to say that Buen Pastor has been serving our community for 70 years, fulfilling its mission of supporting hundreds of girls and young ladies to prepare themselves to reintegrate into their community and have a better future. To celebrate our 70 years we had a very significant event where we were able to thank people who support us and have supported us for so many years.

Our Social Activities during this quarter among others were celebrating our traditional “dia de Muertos”, Halloween and of course all the girls who have a birthday during these months.

We had several workshops, one of which was a self- defense and first aid course performed by members of the municipal police department.  We also had a Theater workshop which our girls enjoyed a lot!  We have talent on house!!! And last but not least, we continued to develop our girls' culinary skills with a new baking workshop.

At the end of this quarter, 5 of our girls graduated from high school and are now working on their College applications. We also are very proud to say that one of our girls graduated from College.

We are very grateful for the generous donation of 30 wardrobe cabinets, donation made by a very well-known Mexican company. Our bedrooms look very nice and the girls can now have their personal belongings very well organized! Thank you!

But in a very special way, we thank all of you with all our hearts for each and every one of your donations, thanks to that we have been able to celebrate another year of service to our community. We wish you a very merry Christmas, and a near to come 2024 full of love and blessings! Thank you!
