This quarter has been very special for us. Buen Pastor received an award from the Mexicali government in recognition of our performance as a pillar of our community for the deepest transformation in the lives of women, girls and adolescents. We are very proud of this recognition.
Academically, in January, four of our young ladies graduated from high school, two of them are preparing to apply for university. We wish them great success!
During these months, the girls participated in two courses: one in Dressmaking and another in Nursing, this last one conducted by CECATI 21. These courses were taught in a three month period, with 1 module per month, concluding in March. In January, a training course on the use and handling of fire extinguishers was offered, and in February, they participated in a beauty workshop specifically focused on hairstyling and facials.
During this time, in addition to some birthday celebrations and get-togethers for the girls, we also held our traditional Holy Week activities, which the girls thoroughly enjoy and which helps strengthen their bonds of friendship.
Once again, we express our deepest gratitude for your support; without it, this wonderful work would not be possible! Thank you!
