Ground preparation and Geophysical survey

Geophysical survey in progress
Geophysical survey in progress

Water remains the most essential need, and CORE to human existence and survival. Water should be available and accessible to every creature in sufficient quantity and quality. But people of Korukoru community in Ibadan city of Oyo state are exception to this, as access to potable water has been a tug of war for centuries. Water is needed for different reasons among different folks. For this community, it is majorly needed for healthful living and economic growth. Oak Rural Health Organization (ORHO) in the face of lean resources takes a bold step in putting laughter on the faces of this community and environment with estimated population of 700. Our recent activities engaged the services of experts to map out an area, where a borehole drilling can be done for a sufficient and sustainable water supply. This is a process popularly known as Geophysical survey.

Moreover, the process of Geophysical survey has enabled us to know the estimated depth of the proposed borehole for a clean and sustainable water supply(see attached document). Now, the next stage is borehole drilling and PVC casing. This is the stage at which the community will be provided with the real water source for the first time in centuries. The financial implications of this is enormous, resources are being pulled from our offline efforts. We still need well above 1000 USD to hit our target. Little donations mean a lot to us at this moment. You can be our fundraising ambassador for this project, your efforts in this regard will prevent disease outbreak and spread, also empower the villagers for economic independence. We are proud to have you with us, making the world a better place together!
