Hope Grows in Gaza: Rumah Zakat Oversees Post-Ceasefire Aid 2025
Humanitarian aid for Gaza from Rumah Zakat has resumed following the announcement of a ceasefire in early October 2025. Rumah Zakat continues to be present among the people of Gaza. The organization ensures that food aid, clean water, and psychosocial support continue to be distributed to residents affected by the prolonged humanitarian crisis.
Since the beginning of the conflict, more than 65,000 people have died and 167,000 others have been injured. In addition, around 1.9 million Gazans are now living in displacement with limited access to water, food, and health services (source: UNRWA, October 2025). Therefore, humanitarian aid in Gaza is urgently needed.
Clean Water and Food for Southern Gaza
As part of its post-ceasefire response, Rumah Zakat has distributed more than 80,000 liters of clean water in southern Gaza. Water is a primary need amid the crisis, as the distribution and sanitation systems are almost completely paralyzed. In addition, 155,014 food packages and 30,125 loaves of bread have also been distributed to help families who have lost their livelihoods.
Not only that, Rumah Zakat has also built 14 emergency toilets, 61 refugee tents, and set up 3 emergency mosques. These facilities serve as centers of worship as well as places of spiritual strength for the people of Gaza.
Accompanying Physical and Psychological Recovery
In addition to meeting basic needs, Rumah Zakat's Siaga Sehat program has helped 850 people receive medical services. Then, 900 people received psychosocial assistance. In addition, Al-Qur'an halaqah activities were held for 382 children, helping them find peace in the midst of difficult situations.
Commitment to Gaza
Through the long-term program “Gaza Response 2025,” Rumah Zakat continues to oversee the sustainable distribution of humanitarian aid in Gaza. This program includes the construction of wells in 13 locations, the provision of warm clothing, as well as nutritional assistance and baby milk for toddlers. In addition, Rumah Zakat also plans to provide field clinics and container housing for families who have lost their homes.
