HOTMEALS PROGRAM IN TWO CAMPS
(06-07/09) Still in an effort to overcome acute hunger in refugee camps, Flip.id customers through the Rumah Zakat team held a distribution of ready-to-eat meals at Ayadi Misr Camp, Gaza City on September 6 and Khadijah Camp, North Gaza on September 7. This Hotmeals distribution activity was a direct response to the humanitarian emergency that required immediate nutritional intervention for the refugee population.
Ayadi Misr Camp and Khadijah Camp were the focus of this program, with 2,454 nutritious meals distributed to people experiencing a prolonged food crisis. Each portion was formulated to meet daily calorie and basic nutritional needs in emergency conditions.
Limited cooking infrastructure and scarcity of raw food ingredients in the camp area have created difficult conditions for survival. This program includes a strategic short-term plan to prevent mass malnutrition and maintain refugees' immunity to various diseases.
The program's execution involves emergency kitchen units, field coordinator teams, systematic distribution channels that optimize coverage across all camp zones, and standard quality protocols to ensure food safety and nutritional adequacy.
This initiative demonstrates Rumah Zakat's responsiveness in addressing the humanitarian emergency in Gaza.
This assistance is part of the Humanitarian Program for Palestine, which Rumah Zakat consistently implements to ease the burden on civilians, especially children and the elderly, who live with limited access to food, clean water, and health services.
Through this Hot Meals assistance, the people of Gaza can warm themselves and survive amid conditions filled with worry.
