"Following the worst flood in the history of the state of Kelantan change to the area is slow to come. Victims of the flood are still living in temporary shelters, as their homes are underwater and they patiently await rebuild. Temporary shelters, which were donated by a non-profit organization, are being given to the victims in the form of tents. Although they are thankful for the shelter the weather conditions in Malaysia are making it hard for them to feel comfortable or safe. With the hot sun in the day and the cooler temperatures at nights, victims are stating that they are eager to have the conditions change.
We want to begin building. But due to the lack of funds we have not been able to start. With your help we can start to assist these people move out of the temporary shelters and into a new home. It’s been three months since the flood and although the effected areas are being cleared from debris many people are still waiting for a place to call home.
Thank you to the people who have previously donated and to our future donors. Help us to begin transforming this area and begin rebuilding these people’s lives!"
