Introduction
Thalassemia is a life-threatening genetic blood disorder that requires regular blood transfusions for survival. Without consistent transfusions, patients, mostly children, face severe anemia, organ damage, and life-threatening complications. However, many families struggle to afford treatment, and blood shortages further worsen their condition.
Kashif Iqbal Thalassemia Care Center (KITCC) is a nonprofit organization that provides free treatment and blood transfusions to children suffering from thalassemia. With support from GlobalGiving, we aim to ensure uninterrupted transfusions, raise awareness, and expand access to life-saving medical care.
