Tracking Progress, Inspiring Possibility

By Wendy T Muzite | Project Assistant

Dear Friends of FAWEZI,

We hope this message finds you well and continuing in your spirit of compassion and generosity.

We would like to take a moment to thank you once again for the continued support you have shown to FAWEZI and the girls we serve. Your solidarity has been the driving force behind the progress we continue to make in supporting vulnerable girls and teen mothers across our communities.

Following our last update, we are pleased to inform you that we are still actively monitoring the 9 girls whose examination fees were successfully covered earlier this year. Our team remains closely engaged with these beneficiaries, tracking their academic performance, well-being, and overall progress to ensure they stay on the path toward success. The girls continue to express deep gratitude and are working diligently to make the most of this opportunity.

While the provision of examination fees marked a significant milestone, we have come to understand that meaningful support extends beyond just one intervention. As part of our ongoing engagement, we plan to continuously conduct follow-ups with school administrators, guardians, and the girls themselves to assess their evolving needs. These insights are critical in shaping the holistic support model we are building, one that includes academic guidance, psychosocial support, mentorship, and essential supplies.

In addition to monitoring current beneficiaries, we continue to receive numerous appeals for support from other girls and young mothers. Many of them face similar obstacles that include unpaid school fees, lack of basic school materials, and limited access to menstrual health products, barriers that unfortunately remain common and persistent.

We are working on resource mobilization efforts to help close these gaps and ensure continuity for those already enrolled. Our aim is to gradually introduce additional layers of support, such as study aids, career guidance, and mental health interventions, which we believe are essential for building a foundation of long-term resilience and empowerment.

Looking forward, FAWEZI is committed to scaling this initiative responsibly, guided by the lived realities of the girls we support. Your contributions whether financial, in-kind, or through partnerships continue to play a transformative role in this mission.

We will keep you updated as we progress in our efforts, and we invite you to stay connected with us as we build a future where no girl is denied her right to education and self-determination.

With heartfelt thanks and warm regards

The FAWEZI Team
