Bridging Dreams: Hope for a New Dawn

By Wendy T Muzite | Project Officer

Greetings to you, dearest friends of FAWEZI.

We hope this message finds you in good health.

FAWEZI is excited to provide you with an update on our progress since our last communication earlier this year. As mentioned previously, four of our beneficiaries out of seven performed well in their final exams and that we had not formally enrolled more beneficiaries yet. We continue to have a waiting list from which we can select new candidates so that we can continued our efforts in supporting vulnerable girls and teen mothers. As we look ahead to 2025, we are excited about the potential to welcome new beneficiaries into our program. With your continued generosity, we aim to expand our support and provide essential resources such as tuition fees, uniforms, and educational materials.

We are looking forward to 2025 with optimism as we aim to support new beneficiaries through your generous help, we anticipate receiving more funds that will allow us to make yearly bursary commitments to deserving girls. More vulnerable girls and teen mothers are reaching out for financial assistance for tuition fees, uniforms, stationery, sanitary pads, and even food. While we have not yet made solid commitments due to current resource constraints, we remain hopeful for improvements that will enable us to cover examination fees.

We have now approached the third and final term of the year 2024 in our educational sector and FAWEZI is still receiving requests from girls at risk of dropping out due to financial challenges who will sit for their final Ordinary and Advanced level exams in 2025. We are confident that we will be able to support some National Examination Candidates to ensure they can complete their studies.

We are deeply grateful for the continuous support we receive from all of you, and we kindly ask for your continued generosity as we strive to empower more girls to attain a basic educational qualification. Education is indeed a powerful tool for the empowerment of girls and young women, and our greatest hope is to assist more girls at risk of dropping out or those who have already left school.

Thank you once again for your unwavering support. Wishing you a colourful holiday!
