Dear Friends of FAWEZI
In our previous report we shared that FAWEZI, through the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education (MOPSE), was able to select seven girls and offer them support through tuition, for some and examination fees payment. We also indicated that they were from both Chitungwiza and Shamva districts in Zimbabwe, all doing Ordinary level and will sit for their final examinations in November this year. Our beneficiaries did fairly well in their second term exams and it shows they are geared for the final exams in November this year.
We are happy to report that the third and final term started well and that all our beneficiaries are back in school since the opening of schools this September. There was a slight delay in schools opening due to the Presidential Inauguration since there were elections in August here in Zimbabwe. Everything has since gone back to normal and schools are functioning as they should, we are preparing our beneficiaries for their final examinations. As FAWEZI, we are happy that our beneficiaries seem ready and geared for the exams.
However we appeal to you our donors to continue to support this cause so that FAWEZI can give the girls more support outside tuition and exam fees. We desire to provide sanitary pads and stationery for the girls too. As it stands, we were able to pay only school fees to enable them to write their exams and examination fees which is mandatory if they are to sit for their final exams. In terms of other materials required like sanitary ware, stationery and reading material we could not assist because of our funds being limited. Nonetheless we are grateful for your support our friends as it goes a long way in ensuring that our girls sit for their final exams this year, complete and are able to navigate their career paths as they always have dreamt about.
We again encourage you our dear donors to keep on supporting this noble cause so that we empower our disadvantaged girls with education. The organization and beneficiaries remain grateful for your support. We are confident that you will keep on supporting this good cause. We look forward to more of your support.
