Dear friends,
We sincerely appreciate the generous support and commitment of our donors through toward improving healthcare services at the Kabri-Chana Community Health Facility. Your contributions continue to bring hope and lifesaving healthcare closer to vulnerable populations living in this hard-to-reach community.
During the last quarter, our project team conducted a monitoring visit to the facility to assess progress, evaluate service delivery, and engage with healthcare workers and community members on how the project is impacting their lives. The visit revealed that despite ongoing challenges, the support received so far has significantly strengthened healthcare delivery within the community.
With the limited funds raised, the facility was able to procure essential consumables and basic medical supplies required for routine maternal and primary healthcare services. These supplies have helped ensure continuity of care for pregnant women, children, and other vulnerable patients who depend on the facility for treatment and preventive services.
One of the most impactful achievements during this period was the restoration of reliable internet connectivity at the facility. This has enabled the successful introduction of remote consultations and a functional telemedicine program. Through this initiative, frontline health workers can now communicate directly with doctors and specialists for medical guidance, case discussions, referrals, and decision-making support. This innovation is particularly important for Kabri-Chana, where patients previously faced significant barriers in accessing specialized healthcare due to distance and poor road access.
As a result, the quality of healthcare services has improved considerably. Community members now have better access to timely medical care, reducing delays in treatment and minimizing the need for long and costly journeys to distant hospitals. The community continues to express gratitude for the availability of healthcare services and the positive changes being experienced at the facility.
However, during our monitoring visit, one critical challenge identified was the very limited donor support received during the quarter. The current level of funding remains insufficient to meet several important project objectives necessary for sustaining and expanding quality healthcare services.
Two urgent needs remain unmet:
1. Hiring a qualified midwife to strengthen maternal and newborn care services.
2. Procuring an ultrasound machine for early detection of pregnancy-related complications, safer deliveries, and improved antenatal care.
These resources are essential for reducing maternal and child health risks in this underserved and remote community, where access to skilled healthcare professionals and diagnostic services remains extremely limited.
We therefore make a heartfelt appeal to donors, partners, and compassionate individuals to continue supporting this important project. Increased donations are urgently needed to sustain healthcare services, strengthen maternal and child healthcare, and save lives in Kabri-Chana and surrounding hard-to-reach communities.
Every contribution, regardless of size, directly supports vulnerable families who rely on this facility as their primary source of healthcare. Your continued support will help us move closer to achieving our vision of accessible, quality, and lifesaving healthcare for all.
We remain deeply grateful for your trust, generosity, and partnership in transforming healthcare delivery for the people of Kabri-Chana.
