Help Save lives in Mali through clean birth kits

On behalf of our entire team, we extend our deepest gratitude for your continued support and commitment to improving maternal health outcomes in Mali. Your generosity is helping ensure that more women have access to the information, care, and resources they need for safer pregnancies and healthier births.

Over the past months, we have continued our community outreach activities, bringing together pregnant women, mothers, families, and community leaders to discuss the importance of prenatal care, safe delivery practices, and maternal health services. Through these sessions, women are learning how early and regular prenatal visits can help identify risks, improve birth preparedness, and protect both mothers and babies.

We are especially grateful to our valued donor, Keit Mobil, whose generous contribution funded the purchase of 100 maternity kits that are being distributed free of charge to women who complete at least four prenatal care visits. This initiative has created a powerful incentive for expectant mothers to seek care early and attend their recommended prenatal appointments.

The impact has been immediate and encouraging. Health workers and community volunteers report increased interest in prenatal services, with many women attending their first visits earlier in pregnancy and encouraging friends, sisters, and neighbors to do the same. By linking the maternity kits to prenatal care attendance, we are helping build lasting habits that improve maternal and newborn health.

The maternity kits provide essential supplies that support safer deliveries and better newborn care. For many families, these items would otherwise be difficult to obtain, making the kits both practical and highly valued.

While we celebrate these achievements, significant challenges remain. Many women in rural communities still face barriers to accessing timely maternal healthcare, including distance, transportation costs, and limited resources. With your continued partnership, we can reach more women, expand community education efforts, and provide additional maternity kits that encourage healthy behaviors and safer pregnancies.

Every contribution helps us move closer to a future where no woman faces pregnancy and childbirth without the care and support she deserves.
