Several ambulance services operate in Karachi, Pakistan, however, the missing link is the presence of trained medical personnel, equipment and life-saving medicines. Aman Ambulance, the only life-saving ambulances on the streets of Karachi have to-date, made more than 955,000 emergency interventions. We are committed to transforming lives of the underprivileged in our country, who are often denied their basic right to healthcare. Your support can help us enlarge this impact and save more lives!
Although several ambulance services operate in Karachi, virtually all of them serve as patient transport vehicles without medical intervention capabilities. Filling this gap, in 2009 Aman Foundation launched Aman ambulance an advanced life-saving ambulance service previously non-existent in Karachi.
Aman Ambulance, has changed the landscape of emergency care in Pakistan. Managed by a centralized and automated Command and Control Center, the service ensures delivery to the hospital facilities within the 'Golden Hour' thus considerably reducing the incidence of avoidable deaths. Aman ambulance has a target response time of 12 minutes. Your contribution will help us make the service sustainable and potentially more scalable thereby impacting and transforming more lives.
It was a cold night when 30 year old Mehreen went into labor. There was no time to lose and her husband Farrukh grabbed the phone and dialed 1021. Within moments Aman ambulance arrived and they were on their way to the hospital. The labor progressed at a rapid pace and, under the supervision of Aman's Medics, Mehreen delivered a beautiful baby boy! Mother and child were safely transported to the hospital. Every life saved is a life transformed and this is the long term impact of Aman Foundation.
