Recreational activities were held in Remansito

"The Square of Our Dreams"
Thanks to the will and effort of young people from different organizations "The Square of our dreams" is once again a space for recreation full of color and life for the inhabitants of the community of Remansito.
The works included restoration of children's games. In addition, work was done on gardening, afforestation and space cleaning.
The activity was supported by Boys Scout volunteers from the Concordia Church of Asuncion, support of Young People for Christ from the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, JER Group, support from the Governorate, Municipality, Comision Unidos Avanzaremos, Pro Plaza Commission, Rohayhu Committee Remansito (CORORE).

We celebrate together the family day
Games, hugs and a lot of fun were experienced last Friday in the #ProgramaRemansito, celebrating the "Family Day"!
It was a day that had the participation of parents, uncles, aunts, grandparents, grandmothers and brothers of the community, invited with the only slogan of sharing all together a special day.
The activity had the collaboration of the teachers of Attention to Early Childhood (API) and School Support.
This recreational date was part of the Community Development Program with Emphasis on the Care of Children and Adolescents of Remansito.

III FORUM OF CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS OF REMANSITO

Members of the school councils and student centers of the schools and colleges of the community, will participate in the Third Forum of Children and Adolescents of Remansito.

Under the motto "Progress of the community is in the present that we build together!" analyzed and discussed sexual and reproductive health, road education, drug addiction, child abuse, environmental education among other topics.

Teachers, officials and local authorities pledged to support the plans that resulted from the meeting, including an information campaign on road safety, improvement of the infrastructure of public spaces, computer courses.

The event also counted on the participation of local and departmental authorities, who received the proposals of students in an act at the end of the event.

The "Third Forum of Children and Adolescents of Remansito" is possible thanks to the articulated work between the Canadian Christian Fund for Children - Paraguay, Global Infancia, the Remansito Community Center and the Committee of Adolescents CORORÉ (Committee Rohayhu Remansito)

Tales for children with puppets.

"Tavatesãioikovy'apavêpe" (guarani expression meaning "Healthy community live happy") is an initiative that sought to promote changes in the community of Remansito, department of Presidente Hayes - Paraguay, from the promotion of good nutrition practices and from a preventive approach.

The activity took place as part of the closure of the Tava Tesai Special Project.

The objective was to share the process and the result of one of the activities: The children and adolescents of the community participated in the design and production of didactic-pedagogical tools to promote information and strengthen capacities in children and adolescents in the promotion of Personal self-care habits and a healthy community.

Participants were the children of the Remansito Program who created the work of puppets; the teenagers who produced the video project and the mothers protagonists of the creation of a story they called "Carlos and Rosa".

Six years contributing to the development of Remansito

Sixth anniversary of Community Center Remansito

Neighbors donated some of the cement, bricks and other building materials. That is how it all started. Several companies from the city also collaborated. After a year of construction, on November 13, 2010, the Community Center Remansito opened its doors.

Its sixth anniversary was a celebration for a whole week. We went out to visit the homes of the community; we played, shared a big cake and even received international visits.

In these years, there have been many changes, form and substance. Infrastructure, materials and learning resources, but above all the desire to continue walking together.

A bit of history...

Mrs. Dominga, known by everyone as "Ña Domi", has witnessed the changes of the Community Center of Remansito for the last six years. She is member in mother’s commission and has been part of the center since its inception.

The salon for early childhood care has changed radically and it attend ninety children daily. The objective was to fight the heat of the Chaco, for which the ceilings and the walls were fixed. They installed more fans, to turn it in a more pleasant and comfortable place.

During the inauguration, it was possible to see the surprise and the emotion in the eyes of the children. Now the space has three learning sections: Construction, house and art.

It has also changed the way of teaching in school support classes. Now it is intended that above all children be able to think and reason, not just to memorize lessons.

Changes in families are also visible. Amalia Segovia, teacher of school support at the community center for nine years, believes that there has been much progress. She highlight greater involvement and involvement of families. "Mothers share more time with their children, speak to them more and listen to them. The children know their rights and learn to take care of themselves" she concluded.
