Hello Supporters and Friends!
As we approach the end of another year, we have much to update you on, and, as always, we are so thankful to our wonderful GlobalGiving supporters who fuel our mission!
In October, to mark International Day of the Girl we once again ran our hugely popular #ThisLittleGirlIsMe campaign, reaching over 10 million people across social media. The engagement from women around the world sharing a picture of their younger self and a key piece of advice they would give to her now has been astonishing and humbling - from popstars to Olympians and students to CEOs, we have loved reading so many inspirational stories.
We are also nearing the end of this year’s international Young Ambassadors program. We are so proud of the achievements of all our Young Ambassadors who represented 14 countries in our campaign’s global network. Whether taking part in public facing activities through work on our digital campaigns and interviewing role models, or scrutinizing our 2024 girls survey and sharing insights on the issues of interest that affect them and their peers, our outgoing cohort have been incredible advocates and ambassadors for Inspiring Girls.
And in other news from across our global network…
A new 5-module role model program was kicked off by Inspiring Girls Australia, connecting girls at Doncaster Secondary College with inspiring female role models across diverse fields, from business leaders to IT experts.
Inspiring Girls Poland hosted its fantastic annual conference in Warsaw, where their new research revealed that 77% of girls want to feel more confident. The event focused on building this confidence as a foundation for setting healthy boundaries, pursuing careers in STEM, and stepping into leadership roles.
Inspiring Girls UK held an exciting networking session alongside Sol de Janeiro role models, where girls interested in business studies could gain insights into varied career paths to the beauty industry.
And at San Joaquín Polytechnic High School, Inspiring Girls Chile connected students with inspiring women in their community through an engaging speed networking event, bringing a wide range of career insights to girls.
Those are just a few examples of the diverse activities being delivered by our teams around the world. If you would like to know more or if you have questions about our work, how to become involved or other ways to fundraise for the campaign, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via hello@inspiring-girls.com.
A huge thank you once again for your constant support - your dedication to our work is testament to your belief in the importance of fostering gender equality, encouraging young girls to embrace their full potential and pursuing their passions without limits! We wish everyone a restful year end break, and we look forward to reaching out to you again in the new year!
Best wishes to you all.
Trish
