We will support two hospitals; Manmohan Memorial Community Hospital, Dakshinkali and HANDS Polyclinic, Sindhuli. As COVID-19 infection is increasing, hospitals need urgent support to handle patients. With the lack of PPE and other basic equipment such as oximeter, the hospital staffs, patients and visitors are at high risk. We will provide hospitals with PPE and other requisites for fighting the pandemic. This will help hospitals to deliver health services smoothly in the communities.
The statistics show that only 2.3% population is fully vaccinated in Nepal. The hospitals are struggling to provide oxygen to COVID patients. We also need to prepared for the third wave of COVID and future infections. Above all, there is shortage of basic medical equipment such as PPE, oximeters, thermometers, oxygen cylinders in the hospital. If hospitals receive support for purchasing medical equipment, the whole community will benefit by receiving proper health care services.
ICA Nepal will supply PPE materials, and other essential medical equipment to the two community hospitals. This will help the doctors and health workers to provide uninterrupted health services smoothly. This will also ensure safety of the service providers and receivers.
Doctors and other medical workers will be safe. Communities will benefit by getting uninterrupted health services even during the pandemic. Hospital will not be forced to return patients without providing any treatment because of the lack of basic COVID response equipment if this is successful. More than two hundred thousand people visiting these hospitals annually will benefit.
