Cancer patients in Ghana often face significant transportation challenges when travelling to hospitals for consultations, diagnostic tests, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and follow-up appointments. For vulnerable patients and families with limited financial resources, these travel costs can make accessing essential treatment extremely difficult.

What We Have Done So Far

Adjah Cancer Support Ghana has been engaging with cancer patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to better understand the transportation barriers patients experience while seeking treatment. Through our support activities and fundraising efforts, we have worked to assist patients facing travel difficulties and raise awareness of the financial challenges that can prevent vulnerable individuals from accessing timely cancer care.

How Donations Are Helping

Donations received have helped support our efforts to ease transportation-related financial burdens for cancer patients. This assistance helps patients and their families manage some of the costs associated with travelling to healthcare facilities, making it easier to attend appointments and continue treatment.

Our Ongoing Commitment

This project remains ongoing because many cancer patients still struggle to afford repeated journeys to hospitals and specialist treatment centres. We continue to seek support to reach more vulnerable patients and reduce the risk of treatment interruptions caused by transportation costs.
