Thank you for your generous support!

Four fixed sales events
Four fixed sales events

Dear donor,

Thank you for your generous support!

Over the last three months, we have managed to carry out all our activities with the valedores, which would have not been possible without your support.

Since February of 2021, we have held workshops, training courses and safe gatherings with our vendor community. Additionally, we were able to print our first physical copy of the magazine in 2021 which was a huge editorial milestone, and which provides our vendors with a new source of motivation and income.

A few highlights of what your contribution have supported:

  • Four fixed sales events, organized by Mi Valedor in which our vendors continued to develop their social skills while earning an additional income that is particularly important in the face of the ongoing pandemic.
  • Vendors were also active selling to corporate institutions, weekend bazaars and Art Galleries during Mexico’s City latest Art Week.
  • Development of a “vendor-distributor” scheme in which experienced vendors will function as the intermediaries between local businesses –cafés, bookstores, shops in general– and Mi Valedor as magazine distributors. This has allowed vendors to become more actively involved in wholesales and thus generate a more significant income while developing their skills as a self-employed businesspersons.
  • Print and outdoor presentation of our latest issue “Valedores del mundo, Uníos” on May 4th with a panel composed of editorial team members and vendors.
  • 8 monthly workshops; totaling 24 over the last trimester. These workshops cover management, personal finance, art, writing, and personal wellness. In addition, photographic tours of the city have been carried out with beneficiaries to feed a community image archive.
  • Biweekly supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits including facemasks and antibacterial gel for vendor use as well as in kind food and supply donations provided by other Charities.

Here are some pictures of our latest events and vendor focused activities.

You can be sure that your recurring donation will be used to further support the valedores.

Thank you once again!
