Help Mend A Broken Heart In Kenya

The hearts of Oko, Fay, Kir and Vin are beating a lot healthier and happier after undergoing successful heart surgeries in October and November. During the month of October surgeons at Fortis Malar Hospital, Chennai India performed corrective surgery on Oko while surgeons at Tenwek Hospital in Bomet Kenya performed surgeries on Fay and Kir. Additionally, Vin was the beneficiary of successful heart surgery at the Dell Children’s Medical Center, Austin TX USA in November.    

All four (4) children are doing exceedingly well with very bright smiles.

Fifty-four (54) other children and families got much needed help during this quarter as shown below:

Echograms –2, Medicine – 15, ECG -1, Other Tests – 4, Evaluation - 2, Review - 6, X-Ray - 1, Travel Aide - 1, Accommodation at THAP Family Support Center – 22

CAC and THAP continue to forge ahead with increased services for children and families in Kenya.
