During the COVID pandemic beyond taking care of our “babies”, we are hoping to give extra love to the ones that keep our project moving: The Mamas!
Along with Project Tres, we support 15 women who are the mothers of our "babies" at the Hai Center. They became artisans and with the funds coming from their work, they feed their families and pay the rent for their homes.
Strengthening our women through emotional and financial support directly impacts their lives and, consequently, their families, and the community around them.
Taking care of our women with love and support will certainly influence the way they raise their children, and that is a powerful cycle. We believe that when a woman is able to make different choices that change her life, it inspires others to do so too.
During the Covid pandemic our challenge is to ensure financial, emocional and health support to our "Mamas". Having access to the medicines that they need, and counting with the help of a local psychologist would positively impact their lives and give them the strength, support, and motivation to keep them engaged.
