Along with Project Tres, we support 15 women who are the mothers of our "babies" at the Hai Center. With our partnership, these women became artisans and nowadays the "Mamas company" plays an important role in their lives: they depend on it to feed their families and pay the rent for their homes. Strengthening our women through emotional and financial support directly impacts their lives and, consequently, their families, and the community around them.
We are in uncharted waters. COVID-19 is present nearly everywhere, and our community is no exception. One of our biggest challenges is to ensure financial, emocional and health support to our "Mamas" during this unprecedented time. Having access to the medicines that they need, and counting with the help of a local psychologist would positively impact their lives and give them the strength, support, and motivation to move forward.
We hope to support our "Mamas'' by giving them the tools that they need to be their best selves. We want to help them make choices and changes in their lives by improving their health and confidence to act differently at a time that can define their future. And to do so, we want to raise funds and pay for their medicines, reusable period pads, and group counseling sessions through the year.
Taking care of our women with love and support will certainly influence the way they raise their children, and that is a powerful cycle. We believe that when a woman is able to make different choices that change her life, it inspires others to do so too. And that's what we want, our goal here is to transform an entire community by giving the support that our "Mamas" need.
