Help Haitian Students Receive a College Education

This has been a year of great success! Our students have been taking their education seriously. We are proud of our students. Life Connection Mission would like to thank everyone for their continued support.  Our partnership with University of the People is helping our students to achieve online degrees. There is more exciting news. LCM is getting ready to expand the services offered to students like Jean.  LCM plans to begin construction of a trade school in December. We expect this building to be completed by the end of 2018.  Please continue to support this project and others similar.  With your support we can make a difference in Haiti.

Following the 2010 earthquake, twenty-eight of Haiti’s thirty-two’s universities were destroyed, leaving the dream of many to attend college and obtain advanced degrees a mere dream.  Because the country has been able to rebuild the universities and infrastructure remains one of the country’s greatest problems, students are forced to explore other options, including leaving their home country for a better education and a life.  LCM believes that it is important to introduce all resources and programs that will allow these young men and women to pursue an advanced degree while living in their own country, and eventually help bring greater prosperity to all in their community.  LCM has partnered with the University of the People, a nonprofit located in the United States that is able to offer eligible students an online college education.  In time, students will graduate with degrees in business administration, computer science, or in the arts and sciences.

Now our students who are computer savvy and speak fluent English are able to pursue higher education in either Business Administration (B. BA) or Computer Science (B. Sc) though our higher education partner, University of the people.
