Update baby sun bear development

By rudianto sembiring | project leader

At that time in the end of January 2020, we accidentally came to the BBKSDA-SU Wildlife Rescue Center at TWA , Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province,Indonesia and we saw a 3-month-old sun bear baby at that place : According to the officer caring for the baby bear, he was entrusted by the North Sumatra Regional Police after the Police succeeded in revealing a case of wildlife trade via online together with North Sumatra conservation agency (BBKSDA-SU) and the culprit had been jailed.

In our minds, the feeling of loss might be very haunting to the baby Honey Bear, because it has lost its mother killed by poachers in a forest in Sumatra.

"We can't imagine how this little baby bear will survive without his mother, who will feed and protect him" So since he separated from his mother (the poacher maybe kill his mother) ISCP will try the best as we can tobe his baby foster parent and train him how tobe wild behavior again before he growing tobe juvenile or adult and hope all going well and he release back to his home bact to the nature.

In beginning support, ISCP already support this sun bear baby by giving nutrition food, make non permanent small cage as before the sun bear cub just put at the bird cage .And in early april 2020 ISCP finished make non permanent quarantine metal cage,we know this cage still not enough as best is make his cage more bigger. Beside help support nutrition food for the sun bear cub ,we also train him out from the cage to train him climbing ,digging ,scratching trees and so on,this very important to make his wild behavior growing and knowing nature.

Thank you for your keep on support ISCP working to save wildlife, without donors support ,ISCP is nothing.

P.S: Our train the sun bear baby out from cage could be sen at his vidio link :ISCP provide help sun bear baby train his wild behaviour

Warm regards ISCP admin
